Compliance is not a project. It is a state that decays.

This register is 89.3% in order today and 68.4% in order ninety days from now, with nothing going wrong in between — only expiry dates arriving. The work is not getting compliant. It is staying that way while 120 vehicles and 148 drivers each drift on their own schedule.

The register, and what time does to it

Drag the calendar forward. Nothing here gets renewed while you do — this is the shape of doing nothing.

Each square is one document against one vehicle or driver, sorted by how long it has left. Hover for the record.

896 documents across 7 requirements. Ninety days of inaction moves 20.9% of the register out of order — not because anything went wrong, but because that is what expiry dates do. The number that matters on an audit is not the one you had at the last audit.

Wasl is the one we are inside of

4 of the 7 requirements on this page are documents — dates we hold and chase you about, and nothing more. Wasl is not one of them. It depends on the tracking unit actually working, which makes our reliability part of your compliance rather than adjacent to it.

That is a reason to be careful about who you pick, including us. A provider whose units drop off for a fortnight has not just given you a reporting gap — it has given you a registration that was not valid for a fortnight, and you would have had no way of knowing.

It depends on the unit transmitting
Registration is not a certificate you file once. The vehicle has to keep reporting. A unit that was unplugged during a service, or a SIM that stopped, is a vehicle that has quietly left the register.
So a gap in our uptime is a gap in yours
This is the uncomfortable part of picking any provider for it. We publish uptime and per-unit last-seen times because you should be able to check rather than assume.
Silence is the failure mode
Nothing alerts you when a vehicle stops reporting — that is exactly what a parked vehicle looks like. We separate the two and raise the ones that should be reporting and are not.
Drivers have to be linked too
The vehicle side gets the attention, but the driver association is the half that breaks when someone covers a shift or a new hire starts on a Sunday.

What is actually on the list

Named the way an operator meets them, without regulation numbers or penalty figures. Those change, and a vendor quoting them at you is guessing.

3 of the 7 we can observe directly. The other 4 are paperwork: we hold the dates, surface them early and keep chasing until someone marks them done.

Wasl registration

وصل

vehicle · 12 mo · observed

The vehicle and its tracking unit registered against your operator record, and reporting. This is the one that depends on us working — a unit that stops transmitting is a registration that quietly stops being valid.

Operating card

بطاقة تشغيل

vehicle · 12 mo

Authorises this vehicle to carry out this kind of transport work. Expires on its own schedule, and expires quietly.

Vehicle registration

استمارة

vehicle · 12 mo

The vehicle's own registration document. Renewal is usually blocked by something else being out of date.

Periodic inspection

الفحص الدوري

vehicle · 12 mo

The roadworthiness test. The failures that cause it are mostly the ones a proper pre-trip walk would have caught months earlier.

Insurance

التأمين

vehicle · 12 mo

Cover appropriate to the work. Lapses tend to be administrative rather than deliberate, which is no defence.

Driver licence class

رخصة القيادة

driver · 60 mo · observed

The right class for the vehicle the driver is actually assigned to. The mismatch usually appears when someone covers a shift.

Driver linked in Wasl

ربط السائق

driver · 12 mo · observed

The driver associated with the operator. A new hire driving before this is done is a common and avoidable gap.

The version that matters is at the roadside

Being compliant and being able to show it are different problems, and only one of them gets tested while a driver stands at the side of a road with a phone.

Every document on the register is on the driver's phone, current, and available without signal. The difference between a five-minute stop and an impounded vehicle is usually retrieval, not validity.

The last row is the one you cannot produce from a folder. Whether the vehicle is reporting is checked on their side, not yours — so the only useful place to find out is before you are asked.

2.8

documents falling due every working day

Which is why it is somebody's job, and why it slips

181 renewals land in the next ninety days. Spread across a working calendar that is a steady, unglamorous 2.8 a day — small enough to defer on any given morning, large enough that deferring it for a month puts 59 documents into the amber band at once.

Nothing here is hard. It is only relentless, and relentless is what spreadsheets lose to.

What this does not do

Compliance software is sold as though it removes the obligation. It does not. It removes the excuse for being surprised.

We do not make you compliant
We make the state of it visible and keep it visible. Renewing an operating card is still somebody in your office doing paperwork on a deadline.
Half of this we can only remind you about
Insurance and inspection certificates are documents, not telemetry. We hold the dates and chase them. Wasl reporting and driver-to-vehicle assignment we can actually observe.
Nothing here is legal advice
The requirements are named as operators encounter them, without regulation numbers or penalty figures. Those change, and a vendor quoting them at you is guessing.

The honest claim is narrow: you will know the number, you will know it before it matters, and you will know which vehicle or driver it attaches to. Everything after that is still someone in your office with a deadline.
